Registration
Grand Prairie ISD has been an open enrollment District for 15 years and counting.
You do not have to live in Grand Prairie to choose GPISD for your child. GPISD offers numerous traditional schools, Schools of Choice and Programs of Choice at all levels.
Students enrolled in GPISD embrace the unique freedom to select an educational path tailored to suit his or her own individual interests through a kaleidoscope of choices offered district-wide. GPISD takes schools and programs of choice a step further by aligning educational pathways beginning as early as prekindergarten and continuing through graduation.

New to District Students
Use this option if your child meets the following criteria:
- You have never registered your child in GPISD and do not have a Skyward account
- Parent has a student(s) active in GPISD and is enrolling a new student.
- The student attended GPISD in the past, withdrew and enrolled in a different school district and is coming back to GPISD.
25-26 Returning Student Registration
Use this option if your child meets the following criteria:
- Student is currently enrolled in GPISD and anticipates returning for the 2025-2026 school year.
