This year students will be completing a different reading assignment for each six weeks. 

Accelerated Reader:
Your child will choose a book from the Accelerated Reader list. After reading the book, the student will take a test on the book through our computer system. Each child will receive points for reading the book and answering questions correctly.

Oral Reports
Students will choose a book to read and complete a report on that book. This book does not need to be from an approved list. The choice of reports will be discussed in class and a list given to the students.
One week prior to the due date for this assignment, students will turn in a paper stating which report they have chosen to do.


Time will be given in class to read and to take the AR tests, but the report must be written at home.
